1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using ScriptForge, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. What ScriptForge provides

ScriptForge is an online learning platform that provides guided cybersecurity programming challenges, skill progression tracking, and a code grading engine. Access to certain content requires a paid subscription.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use ScriptForge. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these terms.

4. Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You may not share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of others.
• You must provide accurate information when registering. Accounts created with false information may be suspended.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use techniques learned on ScriptForge against systems you do not own or have explicit written permission to test.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, exploit, or gain unauthorised access to ScriptForge infrastructure, the grading engine, or other users' accounts.
• Submit malicious code intended to harm the grading environment.
• Share challenge solutions, flags, or grading bypass methods publicly in ways that undermine the learning experience for others.
• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.

Violation of this section may result in immediate account termination without refund.

6. Ethical use of security knowledge

ScriptForge teaches offensive and defensive security techniques for educational purposes in sandboxed environments. All challenge content is designed to be used within the platform only. You accept responsibility for applying any techniques learned here in a legal and ethical manner. ScriptForge accepts no liability for misuse of skills or knowledge acquired through the platform.

7. Subscriptions and billing

• Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis depending on the plan selected.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
• We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods unless required by applicable law.
• Prices may change with 30 days notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

8. User-submitted content

If you submit challenges or other content to ScriptForge, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute that content on the platform. You retain ownership of content you create. You confirm that any content you submit does not infringe the rights of any third party.

9. Intellectual property

All platform content, challenge designs, curriculum structure, and code produced by ScriptForge are owned by ScriptForge and protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from platform content without written permission.

10. Availability

We aim to keep ScriptForge available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience outages. We are not liable for losses resulting from platform unavailability.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

ScriptForge is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the platform will meet your requirements, that it will be error-free, or that any certifications or career outcomes will result from using it.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ScriptForge shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, at our discretion and without prior notice in serious cases. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you by email of material changes and update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of ScriptForge after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
